Hari Aksara Internasional ke 49 Tahun 2014 Tingkat Provinsi Jawa Barat
‘Aksara Membangun Keadaban dan Keunggulan Berkelanjutan’
Peringatan Hari Aksara Internasional ke 49 Tingkat Jawa Barat yang dibuka Bupati Bandung, H. Dadang M. Naser, Sabtu (1/11) berlangsung sangat semarak. Pembukaan dimulai dengan defile masing-masing kabupaten yang menampilkan berbagai "kamonesan" sesuai ciri masing-masing daerah.
Bupati Kabupaten Bandung, Dadang M Naser menegaskan, Pemkab Bandung terus konsisten untuk menurunkan buta aksara yang hingga saat ini masih disandang oleh sejumlah warga.
Dalam sambutan penutupan Peringatan Hari Aksara Internasional ke 49 Tingkat Jawa Barat "Tahun 2010, penyandang buta aksara di Kab. Bandung tercatat 35.443 orang, namun hingga tahun 2014, jumlah tersebut mulai berkurang menjadi 7.623 orang," kata Bupati dihadapan Wagub Jabar, Deddy Mizwar saat menutup Peringatan Hari Aksara Internasional ke 49 Tingkat Jawa Barat di lapangan.Upakarti, Soreang, Kab. Bandung, Minggu (2/11/2014).
Pendidikan keaksaraan di Kabupaten Bandung menurut Dadang Naser diorientasikan kepada upaya menciptakan kemandirian dan kewirausahaan. "Karena itu, program keaksaraan usaha mandiri sebagai kelanjutan dari program keaksaraan dasar harus ditingkatkan," tambahnya.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut kepala pusat Pengembangan Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini Nonformal dan Informal Regional I Bandung (Ir Djajeng Baskoro. M.Pd) dalam hal ini mewakili kementrian pendidikan dan kebudayaan mengucapkan terimakasih kepada gubenur jawa barat dan seluruh masyarakat jawa barat atas terselenggaranya Hari Aksara Internasional tingkat pprovinsi Jawa Barat yang dipusatkan di kabupaten bandung ini, selanjutnya saya mengucapkan selamat atau penghargaan kepada seluruh bupati dan walikota se jawa barat yang sudah konsisten dalam pemberantasan buta aksara di daerahnya"
Lebih lanjut Kapus mengatakan bahwa Indonesia merupakan tiga negara dari sembilan negara berpenduduk besar (E-9 countries) yang capaian tingkat keaksaraannya serta capaian tujuan pendidikan untuk semua (PUS/EFA) dinilai sangat pesat. pada bulan September 2014 dengan berbagai upaya Indonesia telah berhasil menurunkan angka niraksara orang dewasa hingga tersisa 3,68 persen atau sekitar 6,17 juta orang.
Selain itu, disparitas antarprovinsi kian membaik, terdapat dua provinsi dengan persentase di atas 10 persen, dan tujuh provinsi dengan jumlah niraksara di atas 200.000 orang dengan terus mengurangi disparitas gender melalui berbagai program berpihak perempuan marginal karena kebanyakan penduduk niraksara adalah perempuan (4,1 juta jiwa).
Capaian ini merupakan prestasi tersendiri bagi Indonesia karena Indonesia berhasil melampaui target PUS, yaitu dengan memangkas setengah jumlah penduduk niraksara pada tahun 2015 dan mengurangi disparitas gender. pungkasnya..
Dalam Kesempatan itu pula Wagub Dedy Mizwar dalam pidato penutupan Penyelenggaraan Hari Aksara Internasional tingkat Jawa Barat mengatakan "semoga melalui kegiatan ini kita semangkin sadar akan pentinya pentingnya aksara dalam membangun keadaban dan keunggulan berkelanjutan sesuai dengan tema yang diangkat dalam Hari Aksara Internasional ke 49 ini"
"Dalam rangka mewujudkan jawa barat maju dan sejahtera untuk semua, pembangunan dibidang pendidikan senantiasa menjadi focus konsen proinsi jawa barat dan salahsatu dianataranya adalah kebijakan pembinaan serta pengembangan pendidikan nonformal dan informal dengan sasaran utamanya yaitu meningkatkan angka melek huruf yang merupakan variable indek pendidikan disamping rata-rata lama sekolah dan angka partisipasi sekolah"
"Peningkatan angka melek huruf melaui program pemberantasan buta aksara sangat penting karena pada umumnya masyarakat buta aksara hidup dalam kemiskinanan, kebodohan, keterbelakangan dan ketidakbedayaan, sehingga memiliki banyak keterbatasan baik pengetahuan, maupun kases sumber kemajuan program pembangunan hal tersebut berdampak terhadap terhambatnya indek pembangunan manusia bukan saja dibidang pendidikan tetapi juga bidang kesehatan dan ekonomi atau daya beli" tambahnya
